The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life
Mark Manson has come out with bitter truth about life and has brilliantly explained the real life problems we face. He has been brutally honest about life and its approaches. This is a book which hits reality and touches the bottom truths about life and how to empower and surmount them.
The key to a good life is not giving a fuck about more, it’s giving a fuck about less, giving a fuck about only what is true and immediate and important.
The book is thought provoking. Mark Manson has given in depth analysis of what actually matters and what not and what we should worry about. He encourages limiting concern over things that have no meaning or value in life. It offers a bold confrontation to self belief and positive thinking and makes us accept our failures. It teaches us to accept the fault and uncertainties in life and come out of it by taking the sole responsibility of the problems.
The desire for more positive experience is itself a negative experience. And, paradoxically, the acceptance of one’s negative experience is itself a positive experience.
It is very different from a normal self help book and this makes it a fun and gripping read. It is one of the ground shaping non-fiction books I have ever read.
Mark turns the conventional wisdom on its head, and guides us towards a more sustainable path to happiness. This book is also for people who love reading self help books because this will give them a reality check to those principals about positivity. He gives a powerful approach to the negativity in life and easily makes us understand the ways to turn around the table.
The book is painfully honest as it is outrageously funny. I found the honesty to be refreshing and fulfilling.
Hiding something shameful is itself a form of shame.
I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants a complete different experience. This book gives a unique approach to life and makes you feel happy about what you are.
